Angela Navarro

Coming soon in June

MA, LPC

I am passionate about providing clinically excellent, evidenced-based counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith for clients who wish to incorporate spirituality into their therapeutic experience. I work with a diverse range of clients, including children (10 and up), adolescents, individuals, and couples/families. I especially enjoy working with women navigating women’s health concerns (such as infertility, prenatal/postpartum challenges, hormonal changes, and parenting), and those involved in ministry—supporting pastors and their families in maintaining emotional health and sustainability.

BACKGROUND

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, offering in-person sessions in Houston as well as virtual counseling throughout the entire state. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Houston Christian University in Houston, Texas. I have also completed Level I training in the Gottman Method for couples counseling.

With a task-oriented and collaborative approach, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify goals, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and create practical steps toward meaningful change. I aim to provide a space where you feel heard, supported, and appropriately challenged as you grow.

SPECIALIZATION

My areas of specialization include childhood trauma, grief, and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. In our work together, we will explore the underlying factors contributing to your current challenges and develop strategies tailored to your unique needs. For couples, I incorporate the Gottman Method to strengthen communication, improve conflict resolution, and deepen connection.

VALUES

I value a holistic approach to healing—addressing the mind, body, and spirit. For clients who desire it, I integrate spiritual practices and a Biblical worldview into therapy, while always respecting and honoring each individual’s beliefs and background.

Outside of my professional work, I have been married for 18 years and have a teenage daughter. My family enjoys traveling, and we often spend time visiting libraries and museums together. We share a love of reading, and I frequently enjoy offering book recommendations to clients who are interested!

Melissa Anderson

LPC, LMHC, CSAT

At Olive & Ash, I believe healing begins when a person feels safe enough to be fully known. Many of the clients I work with come carrying stories marked by pain, loss, confusion, or betrayal—and often a deep longing for peace and stability. My role is to offer a calm, compassionate presence as you make sense of what you’re experiencing and begin the work of restoration.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected, without judgment or pressure. Therapy is not about fixing you—it is about helping you reconnect with your strength, your worth, and the hope that may feel buried beneath the weight of what you’ve endured.

Marcus Curry

LPC-S, CSAT

Many of the people I work with are carrying burdens they have kept private for a long time — painful relational patterns, compulsive behaviors, betrayal, or trauma that has quietly shaped their sense of self and their closest relationships. I consider it a genuine privilege to enter that space with someone and offer steady, compassionate, and professionally grounded care.

My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, and trauma-informed modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). My goal is not to rush the process or prescribe easy answers. It is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be honest — about your story, your struggles, and your hopes — and to work collaboratively toward meaningful change.
