Marcus Curry

LPC-S, CSAT Candidate

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

I have always found the Serenity Prayer encouraging. It captures something true about the work of healing — that it requires both honesty about our limits and genuine courage to move forward. I pursued counseling as a profession because I believe people can be equipped with the tools they need to process their pain, the courage to adjust their sails to the winds, and the wisdom to navigate the storms of life with greater clarity and hope.

Many of the people I work with are carrying burdens they have kept private for a long time — painful relational patterns, compulsive behaviors, betrayal, or trauma that has quietly shaped their sense of self and their closest relationships. I consider it a genuine privilege to enter that space with someone and offer steady, compassionate, and professionally grounded care. My goal is not to rush the process or prescribe easy answers. It is to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be honest — about your story, your struggles, and your hopes — and to work collaboratively toward meaningful change.

Marcus Curry LPC-S, CSAT Candidate at Olive and Ash Counseling

SPECIALIZATION

I have a particular focus on sexual addiction recovery and betrayal trauma — two areas that are often deeply intertwined and frequently misunderstood. I work with individuals navigating compulsive sexual behaviors and pornography use, and with partners who have experienced the rupture and disorientation that betrayal brings. I use the CSAT framework developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes and IITAP to guide both addiction recovery and partner trauma work in a structured, evidence-informed way.

VALUES

My faith as a follower of Jesus is central to who I am and how I approach this work. It shapes the compassion, humility, and patience I bring into the counseling room. Christian counseling is available upon request, and I welcome clients of all backgrounds and beliefs. You are never required to share my faith in order to receive thoughtful, respectful care.

Outside of the office, I am happily married to my wife Lindsey. We share life with our dog, Hazel, and I find rest and renewal through volunteering and time with my church family.

BACKGROUND

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas, credentialed to provide both individual, couples, and family counseling and clinical supervision to LPC-Associates working toward full licensure. I am also a CSAT Candidate, working toward certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP).

I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from LeTourneau University. My clinical background spans community mental health, intensive inpatient therapy, and in-hospital crisis evaluation with adults and children. I work with adolescents (16+), adults, couples, and families.

My approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, and trauma-informed modalities including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Melissa Anderson

LPC, LMHC, CSAT

At Olive & Ash, I believe healing begins when a person feels safe enough to be fully known. Many of the clients I work with come carrying stories marked by pain, loss, confusion, or betrayal—and often a deep longing for peace and stability. My role is to offer a calm, compassionate presence as you make sense of what you’re experiencing and begin the work of restoration.

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected, without judgment or pressure. Therapy is not about fixing you—it is about helping you reconnect with your strength, your worth, and the hope that may feel buried beneath the weight of what you’ve endured.
